MPR Leaders Meet Ma'ruf Amin, This is what was discussed
JBN.CO.ID ■ The Chairperson of the People's Consultative Assembly (MPR) visited the residence of the elected vice president for the 2019-2024 period Ma'ruf Amin to present the inauguration invitation.
"We would like to extend an invitation to him that we are ready to hold an inauguration for him as the elected vice president of the 2019 election results for the 2019 2024 period," said MPR Chair Bambang Soesatyo at the residence of Ma'ruf Amin on Jalan Situbondo, Menteng, Central Jakarta, Tuesday (10/15/2019) night.
Bambang said that besides sending out invitations, the MPR leaders who were present would also discuss the MPR's duties in protecting the constitution.
"We certainly will not miss this opportunity as MPR leadership to receive input from him regarding our duties to protect the constitution," Bambang said.
Meanwhile, Deputy Chair of the MPR Syarif Hasan said in this meeting, the MPR would also ask for Ma'ruf's reference regarding the review of the 1945 amendment.
"About the brainstorming about the discourse currently circulating, about the references from the MPR last period there are references about the study of amendments," said Syarif.
Besides Bambang and Syarif, the leaders of the Indonesian People's Consultative Assembly who were present were Deputy Chairman of the Indonesian People's Consultative Assembly, Ahmad Muzani, Arsul Sani, Ahmad Basarah, Fadel Muhammad, Hidayat Nur Wahid, Zulkifli Hasan, and Jazilul Fawaid.
Meanwhile, Lestari Moerdijat was unable to attend because he had to attend an internal meeting with the NasDem Party.
The MPR delegation arrived at the residence of Ma'ruf Amin around 19:00 WIB.
